2018 Spring Accessory Trends

There’s exactly 5 days left until Spring, and I couldn’t be more than happy to add some color to my closet. Just thinking about the change of season makes me smile, and I’m excited to bring some fun looks your way soon!

I’ve been putting an emphasis on using accessories to add to my outfits lately, and I really love the way they complement my look. Accessorizing is a perfect way to add some flavor to your style, so today I’m sharing a few Spring accessory trends that will elevate your look 🙂

Statement Earrings. I just purchased a couple from H&M and they were pretty inexpensive. They feel really light on my ears too, which is important if you plan on wearing them for a long period of time. I tend to lean towards statement pieces when I feel like something is missing, and I know I can always count on a pair of tassel or shoulder glazing earrings to complete my wardrobe.

The Trench Coat. Although not an accessory, coats are still essential in the Spring, especially in NYC. I purchased this one from Mango, and I’ve worn it on numerous occasions, including to work and on the weekends. Trench coats are the perfect option to staying warm in style and I’m sure you’ve heard of the saying “April showers bring May flowers”? well…trench coats are perfect for rainy days too. Unfortunately the one I’m wearing is sold out, but I’ve linked similar ones below!

Straw Handbags. Also known as the Rattan bag, is definitely a necessity. This bag gives off Bali-esque vibes and makes me feel like I’m secluded on a beach somewhere. When I walked into Urban Outfitters and noticed they had only one available, I knew it was meant to be! What I love most about this bag is that you can dress it up or down. It also comes in brown or cream tones, so not only is it an easy color to style, it also makes for a perfect vacation accessory or everyday handbag.

The Matrix Shades. So I’ll admit, the small cat eye sunglass trend took some time getting used to. I wasn’t really sure how I felt about them, but there actually starting to grow on me. When I’m wearing them I totally feel like I’m in the Matrix, which is kind of bad ass don’t you think? I’m always down for a 90s retro look so this trend is like the icing on the cake for me. If these are too daring for you, no sweat, you can opt for classic oval shades, which look just as good.
