3 Ways to Invest in You

This post is slightly different than what your used to, but after focusing on myself lately, I wanted to share 3 ways you can invest in YOU in 2018. I’m not claiming to be an expert by any means, I’ve just learned a lot about myself this past year so I’m hoping these tips will give you a good start to the new year and you can invest in you too!

#1 Be Proud

When things don’t go as expected, we tend to think about what we did wrong, or what we could have done differently. Don’t get too caught up on the negatives, but focus more on the positives. Always look at what you’ve accomplished and how much you’ve learned from those experiences. Be proud, so that you can focus on the goals you want to set and what you need to do to get there.

#2 Put Your Feet Up

Take a day off! I have a bad habit of trying to do too much at the same time and that’s when I get overwhelmed. It’s ok if you don’t get to everything. Better yet, shut off anything related to work, don’t run any errands, take a rain check from time to time. Make time for YOU, and if that means sleeping in on a Saturday, not cooking and ordering seamless, catching up on Netflix…DO IT. You’ll feel way more relaxed and refreshed to tackle anything you need to later on.

#3 Cultivate The Mind

In your career, or for just plain fun, do something that will get you to the next level. It’s important to feel like you’re always learning, so take a class, read a book, watch videos on topics that develop your skills or whatever it is you want to improve on. Educating yourself will only help you in the long run and who knows, you could be good at something that could open the door to new possibilities…

So tell me, what are some of the things you do for yourself? Let me know in the comments below 🙂
