I’ve had my fair share of weddings the last couple of years and as a guest, I’ve purchased a couple of dresses too. One thing I’ve noticed is that finding a dress for a wedding can be challenging, and if you have more than one wedding a year…dress shopping can get expensive.
This year, I decided to repurpose as many outfits as I could so that I wouldn’t have to buy a new dress for every wedding. From the looks I put together, it was finally clear to me why I was able to re-wear them.
Here are 3 dress styles and looks you should own for your next wedding:
1. The Elegant Feminine Look
This Zara dress was purchased 3 seasons ago and I managed to pull it off at 3 different weddings. The solid mustard yellow makes it easy to re-wear. The boat neck, oversized sleeves, and midi length details makes this fit beyond classic and let’s not forget about the minimalist handbag and polka dot headband…it screams 1940’s fashion which makes this elegant and feminine look a go-to at weddings.
2. The Trendy Glam Look
A glam look doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive, and that was confirmed when I found this $28 PrettyLittleThing plunge dress on ASOS. From the ruffled bold shoulders, the embroidery design, to the short fit…glam looks can be inexpensive, sexy, and trendy. The slick back hair, gold earrings, and pointy suede heels also makes for a perfect look at a more formal wedding.
3. The Flowy Romantic Look
This little pink dress from Express is a few years old, but was definitely worth the purchase. When paired with sneakers, the flowy ruffle accents and hem allows for casual everyday wear. With heels, a dress this style is super romantic and fun. The versatility also makes this flowy romantic look a must for all types of weddings, and you can never go wrong with a dress that can be worn different ways.
