Jayley, A Contemporary Fashion Brand

It wasn’t until I started blogging, that I made it a point to become familiar with clothing brands I didn’t know existed. I figured if I didn’t know about them, others might not know either, so this would be my opportunity to share. That’s when it occurred to me that maybe it was time to broaden my horizons and take a break from the brands I’ve been loyal to, in order to discover new ones… and that is what brings me to Jayley, an England contemporary fashion brand I instantly fell in love with. Jayley focuses on premium fabrics for women such as fur, silk, and devore. They have a strong emphasis on sustainability and the importance of ensuring all of their fabrics are ethically sourced. Funny enough, I received a message via Instagram from someone telling me I should… View Post

Self-care, What Does It Mean To You?

This might sound cliche, but after turning 30, I started to think about self-care and what it means. I guess it’s because I noticed a few changes when I hit 30, and while some of the changes have been great, other’s have reminded me that I’m also getting older, LOL. So, when I think about self-care, there really is no right or wrong answer because it can mean different things to different people. Some people might choose to travel, some make it a priority to spend more time with loved ones, and others might start paying more attention to their health. This year…I tend to focus on all of the above, but when I think of health, it’s a topic I feel like I’ve neglected in my 20’s, and I realized it could be anything as simple as developing habits… View Post

Boogie Down Bell-Bottoms

When I think of the 70’s, I think of diversity and a different kind of style…when both men and women wore shaggy haircuts, platform shoes, and high-waisted bell-bottoms. Now here we are today, and I find it pretty freakin’ awesome that the 70’s has such an impact on today’s fashion. But I have to give credit where credit is due, and it wasn’t until after I posted photos in these jeans that I decided they deserved a post. It all started when I took a trip to Bloomingdales and came across these boogie down bell-bottoms from Free People. I hadn’t tried on a pair of bell-bottoms in forever, so of course I was curious to see how they’d fit! While I walked to the fitting room, I remembered a close friend mentioning she owned the same pair I was about… View Post

The Modern Prairie Dress

Besides the fact that my hair looks shinier, the leaves turn color, and the humidity slowly begins to disappear, a part of what I love most about Fall is reading up on what’s trending. While there’s so many trends to fall in love with this season, I was pumped to see that dresses continue to parade the streets. However, this time around, it’s the Prairie dress that’s making a statement. I’m sure you’re familiar with the classic books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, The Little House on the Prairie and if you aren’t you should be, because this is where the inspiration on Prairie dresses originated. A time during the late 1800’s, when women felt restrained from wearing particular clothing. Only suddenly there’s a modern twist on today’s generation of Prairie dresses, and what once was conservative is now a mix… View Post

The Perfect Matching Set

With matching sets all over the scene this year and so many styles being a hit, it isn’t easy trying to find one that keeps you styling from head to toe. To top it all off, most of the pieces I was crushing over were sold online, which made it even more challenging! One thing I told myself was that I wasn’t going to settle for just any kind of two piece, nor was I going to spend money on something I wasn’t 100% in love with. So, the only way I was going to be overly obsessed with my choice was to focus on the pros and cons for each set I ordered. After several attempts, I wish I’d gotten a warning about the matching set debacle! But, you guys are just in luck because today I’m sharing my guide… View Post
