The Modern Prairie Dress

Besides the fact that my hair looks shinier, the leaves turn color, and the humidity slowly begins to disappear, a part of what I love most about Fall is reading up on what’s trending. While there’s so many trends to fall in love with this season, I was pumped to see that dresses continue to parade the streets. However, this time around, it’s the Prairie dress that’s making a statement. I’m sure you’re familiar with the classic books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, The Little House on the Prairie and if you aren’t you should be, because this is where the inspiration on Prairie dresses originated. A time during the late 1800’s, when women felt restrained from wearing particular clothing. Only suddenly there’s a modern twist on today’s generation of Prairie dresses, and what once was conservative is now a mix… View Post

The Perfect Matching Set

With matching sets all over the scene this year and so many styles being a hit, it isn’t easy trying to find one that keeps you styling from head to toe. To top it all off, most of the pieces I was crushing over were sold online, which made it even more challenging! One thing I told myself was that I wasn’t going to settle for just any kind of two piece, nor was I going to spend money on something I wasn’t 100% in love with. So, the only way I was going to be overly obsessed with my choice was to focus on the pros and cons for each set I ordered. After several attempts, I wish I’d gotten a warning about the matching set debacle! But, you guys are just in luck because today I’m sharing my guide… View Post

Swimsuits To Rock All Summer Long

Shopping should be a fun thing right? Well no, not always, not for me anyway. There’s certain items I have a love/hate relationship for. It’s the feeling when summer roles around, and I’m happy to finally be getting some vitamin D, but I get a little anxious when shopping for swimsuits. Unfortunately, theres no getting around it, and if you plan on heading to the beach, lounging by the pool, or planning a get-a-way to your next vacation, you should be doing it in style! Finding the right swimsuit can be stressful for numerous reasons, but one thing I try to keep in mind when searching for the right one is that we all have different shapes, and we should embrace that. I’ll be honest, I don’t always feel comfortable showing off my body, but I’m starting to become more… View Post

The Elevated Casual Look

If you asked me how I’d define my style, I probably couldn’t give you an answer. I guess it’s because I never tailor my outfits any specific way. I either have the urge to look festive or I’m in comfort over everything mode. Then that’s when it suddenly hit me! Why couldn’t I have the best of both worlds and curate looks that are elevated yet casual? So here it is, my ELEVATED CASUAL LOOK! I couldn’t think of a better way to combine this polka dot open back maxi from ASOS and these chunky “dad” FILA Disruptors. I know..it’s a pretty long description for a pair of sneakers, but they’re so ugly that they’re so adorable…so it sounds exactly how they look! If you aren’t convinced on trading your heels in for sneakers yet, I’ll give you 3 reasons… View Post

The Sleek Suit

For some women, suits can feel stuffy and a bit constricted, but there’s something about a suit that’ll always be classic, and with a history of women wearing and designing them (Coco Chanel, Jackie Kennedy, Madonna), there’s nothing more I love than a sleek suit to make a woman feel like a #bossbabe. I’ve had my eye on a few suits for the last couple of months, and with the weather fluctuating so much, it’s been a struggle knowing what to wear. That’s why it’s important to have items that are easy to transition into, and a blazer and trouser combination is a perfect outfit for those in-between seasons. I like the way the two pieces look sophisticated together, but you could also get use out of each item separately. That’s 3 outfits in 1, and thats a win in… View Post
