2018 Spring Accessory Trends

There’s exactly 5 days left until Spring, and I couldn’t be more than happy to add some color to my closet. Just thinking about the change of season makes me smile, and I’m excited to bring some fun looks your way soon! I’ve been putting an emphasis on using accessories to add to my outfits lately, and I really love the way they complement my look. Accessorizing is a perfect way to add some flavor to your style, so today I’m sharing a few Spring accessory trends that will elevate your look 🙂 Statement Earrings. I just purchased a couple from H&M and they were pretty inexpensive. They feel really light on my ears too, which is important if you plan on wearing them for a long period of time. I tend to lean towards statement pieces when I feel… View Post

The Belt Bag

Belt bags…my new obsession and definitely a top five when it comes to Spring trends. You’re probably thinking, what’s the difference between a belt bag and a fanny pack? They look exactly the same. They do…in a way. Belt bags have a more sophisticated/modern look to them. You can also dress them up and down. Fanny pack’s may not work too well for special occasions, but if you get the right belt bag, you’ll be able to wear it to any formal event. I’ve used this Louis Vuitton Monogram Pochette bag as a wallet, clutch, and how I have it pictured, wrapped around my waist like a belt. I was really indecisive about this purchase (I thought long and hard before investing in this piece LOL), but I eventually caved in and being able to wear it different ways sealed the deal.… View Post

How To Get Yo’ Spring On

I dont know about you, but I’m getting to the point where waking up is getting harder, wearing closed toe shoes is overrated, and If I have to wear one more scarf…🙄 But seriously, I had a case of the winter blues and I needed to get rid of them ASAP. The only way I knew how (besides booking a trip on the beach) was to step it up a notch by brightening up one of my next few outfits. I’ll be honest, pink isn’t usually my go-to, but I find myself getting into style ruts this time of the year. So any chance I get to wear something colorful, I’ll take it! It was also 50 degrees this day so I didn’t know how to act haha. I’ve been wanting to wear these wide legged jean culottes for a… View Post

The Chunky Winter Boot

This winter has been brutal, and if your a New Yorker and your reading this, I’m sure you feel my pain! It takes a lot of effort to get ready and bundling up takes the fun out of dressing up, am I right? Finding winter gear this time of the year is important, especially if your walking a lot during the week. I always look for comfort, style, and versatility. Versatility is a big focus for me these days. If an item can’t be warn with more than one outfit, it’s gotta go back where it came from, LOL. So when the snow storm hit us a few weeks ago (we had a little something yesterday, but it didn’t compare), I regretted the fact that I didn’t own a pair of winter snow boots. I realized I hadn’t owned a… View Post

3 Ways to Invest in You

This post is slightly different than what your used to, but after focusing on myself lately, I wanted to share 3 ways you can invest in YOU in 2018. I’m not claiming to be an expert by any means, I’ve just learned a lot about myself this past year so I’m hoping these tips will give you a good start to the new year and you can invest in you too! #1 Be Proud When things don’t go as expected, we tend to think about what we did wrong, or what we could have done differently. Don’t get too caught up on the negatives, but focus more on the positives. Always look at what you’ve accomplished and how much you’ve learned from those experiences. Be proud, so that you can focus on the goals you want to set and what… View Post
