Over The Knees & Graphic Tees

OK, so where do I begin with these over the knee (OTK) boots from Marc Fisher?! I got them from the Nordstrom sale about a month ago and couldn’t wait to break them in. I guess I could list down all the reasons why I love them, but you’d probably be here for a while so I’ll try to spare you! First things first…let’s talk about how versatile they are. Most people think you can only wear OTK boots in the fall, and while they are a huge staple for this season, I’m a believer you can also wear them into the colder months which tend to be between December and February in NYC.

I was feeling edgy and a little experimental when I put this look together. I think it’s because I wanted to think outside of the box. I would normally wear OTK’s with a dress but because I was feeling lazy this evening and Luke and I were going out to dinner (AKA I’m rushed to get ready and pressed for time), I needed to throw on something quick.

BTW, if you’re a foodie, I thought I’d share we went out to dinner at one of our local spots, Sanfords. If you’re ever in Astoria, you should definitely check it out. They have $1 oysters and $6 wines from 4-7PM and a sick brunch on the weekends. You can’t beat that!

So…I paired these over the knees with my favorite graphic tee from Adidas. I tend to wear it with the rest of my Adidas get-up (sneakers, leggings, etc.), but this time around I wanted to dress it up so I thought what better way to do it than with these new Marc Fisher babies? I styled it with a navy boyfriend blazer and a corduroy thigh split skirt I got from ASOS. I don’t normally wear corduroy, but I feel like I should own more of it.

The coach bag was an added touch. My sister got the bag about 2 years ago and I remember needing to have it. I got it for Christmas at 40% off so it was definitely a no-brainer. This is probably one of the bags I get the most use out of. It’s a really good everyday work bag, but I sometimes use it to hold my gym clothes, and it’s dressy enough to wear it out after work. I think they discontinued it which is a bummer, but I’ve linked a similar handbag below.

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope this will inspire you to style your favorite graphic tee and pair it with something dressier than usual! PS, I tried something a little different when editing my photos for this post. Let me know what you think about them in my comments below.

Xx Tai
