The Elevated Casual Look

If you asked me how I’d define my style, I probably couldn’t give you an answer. I guess it’s because I never tailor my outfits any specific way. I either have the urge to look festive or I’m in comfort over everything mode.

Then that’s when it suddenly hit me! Why couldn’t I have the best of both worlds and curate looks that are elevated yet casual?

So here it is, my ELEVATED CASUAL LOOK!

I couldn’t think of a better way to combine this polka dot open back maxi from ASOS and these chunky “dad” FILA Disruptors. I’s a pretty long description for a pair of sneakers, but they’re so ugly that they’re so adorable…so it sounds exactly how they look!

If you aren’t convinced on trading your heels in for sneakers yet, I’ll give you 3 reasons why you should:

While we all love a good pair of heels, its no surprise they’ll start to hurt at one point or another. If you’re constantly on-the-go, it’s probably best to wear shoes you can move in.

You can make a statement and turn heads by pairing sneakers with anything other than pants. Not only is it eye-catching but it’s also not very traditional.

This one depends on how well you take care of your shoes, but whenever I’ve owned a pair of sneakers, they’ve lasted for a while. Heels have to be taken to the shoe repair often, and if you wear them frequently, there’s a chance they’ll wear off.

BUT WAIT…THERE’S ONE MORE THING! I mentioned I’d share the inside scoop on where I buy most of my designer handbags, including this one from Chloe, and the answer is…

TRADESY! I seriously love their online shop because you can also sell clothing, shoes, jewelry…whatever you want! It should be in good condition and it shouldn’t be super outdated, unless it’s vintage. I also want to point out that you can negotiate pricing on items directly with the seller, so there’s a chance you won’t have to pay full price. How can you beat that?!

So…what do you guys think? Are you willing to throw in your heels for a pair of sneakers every once in a while? Let me know in your comments below!
