It’s definitely that time of the year where you find yourself snuggled up on the couch by the christmas tree, spending time with loved ones, and going to holiday parties. But if your the type of person that waits until the last minute to do christmas shopping like I do, the last thing on your mind is what to wear to the next holiday get together.
Whatever it is I’m doing, I like to spend the holidays in style, but there’s nothing more important than feeling relaxed and comfortable. When dressing up, I tend to lean towards whatever will hide the food I’ll be consuming, LOL… but seriously, I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t need to wear anything that sparkles to feel festive.
So, ’tis the season for oversized sweaters…and the bigger, the better! I ended up getting this one a few sizes up so if you’re looking to make it a versatile piece like I was, you can do that too. By getting it bigger, I was able to wear it a few ways. Here, I tucked it in and paired it with a black semi-bedazzled skirt. I’ve also warn it by itself as a dress, or with sneakers for a casual look. The hunter green was definitely an added bonus and more than enough reason for me to wear to a holiday event. You can also spice up your look by wearing a brighter lipstick. Here, I’m wearing an orangey-red, but red alone will do.
So… no matter how you spend your holidays, there’s hopefully an oversized sweater in your closet that you can doll up… and if not, go out and get one! I promise, you won’t regret it 🙂
